This Mustang is not just another custom built car, it’s a true automotive masterpiece
This car started its life as a 1967 Mustang Fastback, but after the complete rebuilt and nearly $200K invested into this project, not much of the original car remained. Most of this car is new including the torque boxes and frame rails, which have been replaced with stronger one’s. There’s also and new floor pans installed to handle the extra horsepower.
The front fenders, hood, nose cone, side scoops, tail light panel, trunk lid, end caps and rocker moldings are all built from high quality fiberglass and they are molded into the car.
The car is painted in incredible Kandy Brandywine color, which has a mirror finish, while the gray stripes are a custom color that was applied over the candy then buried in clear.
Inside things looks as awesome as the outside of this extremely well restored Eleanor Mustang. The interior is a perfect mixture of custom and reproduction components where the Leather & Suede seats with the Carroll Shelby signature and awesome set of unique aftermarket gauges makes it look even more stylish.
Underneath the bonnet, the all Aluminum 427 cubic inch V8 has been stroked to 498 Cubic Inches. It features Hilborn Injection converted to EFI with F.A.S.T. Electronic Fuel Injection, the huge cast aluminum valve covers have billet breathers and Shelby adorned oil caps as well as some other high performance goodies.
Thus equipped, the 498 Cubic unit delivers mighty 641 horsepower and 614 lb-ft. Helping power the transfer to the wheels is Tremec 5 Speed gearbox. Stopping comes from 4-Wheel Wilwood Power Disc Brakes.
